SAT attack ... preparing for Key Stage 2 SATs

We may not like them, we may not agree with them – but we have to do them! How can you prepare children for the Key Stage 2 SATs without merely revisiting past papers?

The day includes:

• addressing specific areas of weakness in children's writing of both fiction and non-fiction
• teaching children to respond to texts using inference and deduction (those tricky 2 and 3 mark questions!)
• preparing for SATs in a context

This course will be of interest to Y6 teachers, Literacy Co-ordinators and Assessment Co-ordinators.
