Rigby Navigator
Rigby Navigator is a Key Stage 2 fiction and non-fiction guided reading programme. Gill is Series Editor of the non-fiction strand.
The fiction titles cover all the genre requirements at Key Stage 2. The non-fiction titles cover all the required non-fiction text types and link to units in the QCA Schemes of Work to develop literacy across the curriculum and help thematic teaching. Each title has its own Teaching Guide to reduce teacher preparation time and offer practical solutions for differentiation. Each year also has its own interactive comprehension CD-ROM to help children build essential comprehension skills and help teachers integrate ICT into lessons.
Throughout the scheme, the emphasis is on supporting the development of comprehension skills through the use of literal, deductive and inferential strategies.
The latest addition to Rigby Navigator is Rigby Dimensions. It’s an innovative scheme with literacy at its core that supports a thematic curriculum.
