Sentifix

ERA FinalistSentifix logoSentifix product shotSentifix helps Key Stage 1 children make the leap from building words in phonics sessions to constructing complete sentences. It’s a useful resource in TEFL and SEN sessions too.

It’s a simple system of interlocking bricks with pre-printed words. It allows children to construct sentences without having to commit pen to paper – ideal for kinaesthetic learners. Sentifix was a finalist in the Special Educational Needs category of the 2006 Educational Resources Awards

The bricks are colour-coded to reinforce the roles of different parts of speech. They practise basic sentence construction, and allow teachers to devise simple word replacement activities and more complex sentence games.

Sam at the Seaside was the first Sentifix pack in January 2006. This has been joined by two more packs, Sam at School and Sam and the Pirates.
