Rigby Star Shared (formerly Red Giant)

Gill is Series Editor of Rigby Star Shared, a Key Stage 1 shared reading and writing programme published by Rigby. It’s designed to help teachers implement the Early Literacy Support and Developing Early Writing initiatives.

The series covers the NLS range requirements at Key Stage 1. The Big Book format encourages speaking and listening skill development and makes ideal models for children’s writing. Each book has its own Teacher’s Guide which contains differentiated shared reading and writing tasks, independent group activities and plenaries. CD-ROMs help make shared reading more interactive and give teachers the option to incorporate ICT into their lessons.
